Rainscreen Project SIG Facades & Sperrin Facades
SIG Facades is proud to announce its collaboration with Sperrin Facades on the rainscreen project for the IADT New Digital Media Building in Dún Laoghaire. In partnership with JJ Rhatigan, the main contractor for this visionary project, SIG Facades supplied 1650 m² of Equitone Natura N164 in the elegant ‘Quartz White’ shade. This marks a significant stride in our dedication to delivering innovative and aesthetically pleasing solutions.
Of particular note is our collaboration with the skilled craftsmen at Sperrin Facades, a distinguished facade installer boasting its own CNC fabrication facility in Maghera Co Derry. This collaboration underscores the power of unity in bringing architectural visions to life.
But our involvement doesn’t stop at the facade. SIG Facades has also collaborated with the Technical Insulation department, supplying essential materials such as Tyvek Firecurb and Rockwool SP slab. This comprehensive approach showcases our commitment to providing holistic solutions for the construction industry.
The Digital Media Building, a visionary design by BDP Architects, spans an impressive 7,208 m² and will become a hub for creativity and innovation. It will house 920 students across various disciplines, including design, animation & VFX, enterprise, and technology.
This state-of-the-art facility not only expands IADT’s capacity by accommodating nearly 600 additional students but also enhances the learning experience. The building will feature 19 cutting-edge digital design studios, advanced computer laboratories, classrooms, seminar rooms, and a 600-seat capacity restaurant.
